Rascasuelos TANGOS VIVOS

Ferocious, passionate and resolutely defiant – Rascasuelos transcends music, dance and art, calling upon tango’s proletarian history as a force to inspire social and political change.

TANGOS VIVOS explores the Tango of today, speaking to the present political and economic spirit of Argentina through a unique musical background evident in its fusion of rock, classical and tango styles. The Buenos Aires-based tango ensemble is formed of seven classically and rock trained musicians and four tango dancers with ballet & contemporary training.
 

The band’s signature sound and look has taken them on tour around the world from North Europe’s prestigious Roskilde festival to Carnegie Hall in New York City. When not on tour, the members of Rascasuelos perform with leading symphonic orchestras, star in celebrated Argentinian rock bands, and dance in well-respected ballet companies.
